TB-500
TB-500 is a synthetic version of Thymosin Beta-4, a naturally occurring 43-amino-acid peptide found in nearly all human cells (especially high in platelets, wound fluid, and immune cells). The active fragment most commonly used is the first 17 amino acids (sometimes called TB-500 or Ac-SDKP fragment), but full Thymosin Beta-4 is the native form.
It’s typically administered via subcutaneous injection and is prized for its ability to promote healing and reduce scar tissue formation.
Potential Benefits
Most evidence comes from animal studies and clinical observations in sports medicine / regenerative protocols. Here are the main areas people focus on:
-
Faster Recovery from Soft-Tissue Injuries
-
Tendons/ligaments (Achilles, patellar, rotator cuff, elbow)
-
Muscle strains, tears, or contusions
-
-
Overuse injuries (tendinopathy, repetitive strain)
-
Improved Post-Surgical Healing
-
Better recovery after orthopedic procedures (ACL, rotator cuff repair, joint surgery)
-
Reduced scar tissue and stiffness
-
-
Enhanced Flexibility & Reduced Fibrosis
-
Less “stuck” or tight feeling after injury
-
More functional healing (stronger without excessive scarring)
-
-
Support for Chronic or Slow-Healing Wounds
-
Diabetic ulcers, venous stasis wounds, or delayed surgical sites
-
-
General Recovery & Performance
-
Quicker bounce-back between intense training sessions
-
Reduced downtime for athletes or active individuals
-
Many users report noticeable improvements in pain, mobility, and healing speed after 4–8 weeks, with best results often seen at 2–6 months when combined with physical therapy, proper rest, and nutrition.
