Ivermectin

Ivermectin is commonly regarded as a versatile anti-parasitic medication which has been used to treat parasitic infections in humans as well as animals. Ivermectin works by targeting the nervous system of many types of parasites, which causes their paralysis and subsequent elimination from the host body.
Ivermectin works within specific ion channels in the nervous system and muscular system of parasites. Ivermectin selectively binds to the cell membranes of invertebrate nerve and muscle
cells, allowing for better permeability of the membranes by chloride ions. This results in the paralysis and eventual death of the affected parasites.
