Sermorelina

Tesamorelin is a synthetic peptide that's a modified version (analog) of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It's designed to stimulate your pituitary gland to produce more of your own natural growth hormone (GH) in a pulsatile, more physiologic way—similar to how your body does it naturally when you're younger.

Potential Benefits

  • Significant Reduction in Visceral Adipose Tissue (VAT) Clinical trials (Phase III and others) show reductions of ~15–18% in visceral fat area after 26 weeks, with some seeing up to 34–42 cm² decrease (compared to little or no change with placebo). This is the primary FDA-approved benefit and the most reliable effect.

  • Improved Waist Circumference and Body Composition Often leads to a smaller waistline and better overall appearance of abdominal fat, while preserving or slightly increasing lean muscle mass and muscle density/area in some studies.

  • Better Lipid Profiles Frequently lowers triglycerides (by ~37–50 mg/dL in trials), improves total cholesterol/HDL ratio, and may reduce overall cardiometabolic risk markers.

  • Modest Liver Fat Reduction Some studies show decreases in liver fat content (e.g., 2–3% improvement in lipid-to-water ratio), which could support metabolic health beyond just belly fat.

  • Potential Broader Wellness Support Off-label use in functional medicine explores benefits for age-related GH decline, stubborn central adiposity, or metabolic slowdown—things like better energy, muscle maintenance, and fat metabolism. Emerging research looks at muscle health, physical function, and even cardiovascular risk reduction in specific groups.

People often report feeling leaner around the midsection, better energy, and improved body image when using it under supervision, but results vary and it's most effective when combined with diet, exercise, and lifestyle optimization.
